Zetterströms Rostfria AB
Zetterströms was founded in 1974 by Alf Zetterström. The company started by manufacturing tanks and other stainless steel products in line with customer specifications. In 1988 it acquired the production equipment of thermo channels from Avesta Sheffield. Thermo channels are used in the cooling and heating of tanks.
At the beginning of the nineties Zetterströms focused on the manufacture of tanks, pressure vessels and other production equipment in stainless steel for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
At the end of the nineties Zetterströms built its first WFI system, a system producing clean water and steam. In 2003 the brand name Hafer in this segment was acquired, enabling Zetterströms to offer WFI systems developed in-house to the pharmaceutical industry.
In 2005 the first CIP/SIP skid was manufactured, i.e. a system used for the cleaning and sterilization of process equipment in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
In spring 2007 Zetterströms Rostfria was acquired, which established the platform for increased market penetration and expansion in the life science industry.
